Frequently Asked Questions

Is Mizzentop religiously affiliated?

We have no religious affiliation and embrace students from all ethnic and religious backgrounds. Our Living Values program enables Mizzentop to develop our students into responsible citizens who embrace concepts such as Tolerance, Respect and Unity.

Can I afford the tuition?

The majority of our families have chosen to invest in their children’s education during these important and formative years. A large portion of our students receive tuition assistance in the form of financial aid and scholarships. Mizzentop believes economic diversity among the student population is as valuable as cultural diversity.

Is Mizzentop the right school for my child?

Mizzentop values every child. Our teachers educate each student according to their needs and abilities. Whether they are academically gifted and seek a greater challenge or they need some extra help, each student receives the attention they deserve and require in order to develop a lifelong love of learning.

Is busing available?

Mizzentop falls within the 15 mile radius of many surrounding school districts. Students from Pawling, Dover, Carmel, Brewster, Wappingers and Arlington are currently being bussed by those districts to our school. Depending on where you live, your child may be eligible for bus service, so check with your district’s transportation office.

Are special services available?

Several of our students receive special services either in the classroom or in one-on-one sessions. Mizzentop works with the Pawling School District to assist our students with whatever type of services they need.
